Video Game Environment

For this project, we were assigned groups to recreate an environment from a video game while making sure to use LODs. The final product would be a navigable scene within the engine of our choosing. I worked with team members Emmalie Hall, Kekoa Hopkins, Beatrice Wells, and Brooke Floyd to recreate an environment from Final Fantasy VII using Unreal Engine 4.

We chose this location from Final Fantasy VII to recreate.

Modeling

I was in charge of modeling the main assets of the cafeteria area seen below. After modeling and unwrapping them, I took them into Unreal Engine to set dress.

Texturing

I then textured my models using Substance Painter and Substance Designer for some assets and 3D Coat for the more simple ones. Many of them are not too detailed, such as the stoves and fryers, since the player would not be able to get very close to them. I then imported the textures into Unreal.

Final Result
